Lots of big milestones and change coming for the Kitchens family! This session was a celebration of sweet Polli Kate's second birthday and the home stretch of pregnancy for her beautiful mom! Can't wait to meet another beautiful Kitchens baby soon!
Have you ever seen a more beautiful mama? Valeria was absolutely stunning! All of this session was done at the same park, and I love the variety of backdrops we achieved by moving from one section of the park to another. This little girl will be so loved, and from seeing how cute her big brother is, she's bound to be beautiful! I had so many favorites from this session, it was nearly impossible to narrow it down to just a few to share! So enjoy my oversharing of this gorgeous family!
Soooo...if the rest of you are anything like me, pregnancy is not your most glorious of days. It's a blessing but it is HARD, and to say that I don't feel glamorous while pregnant is a massive understatement. You may be confused and wondering why a photographer who does maternity sessions is telling you all this...let me explain. Yes it can be a hard season, but it is God working and creating life and you get to take part in it! And that my friends is beautiful. So why have maternity pictures taken? Well you may not feel elegant and glorious in the everyday, but this is your chance to pick out a dress you love, take the time to have your hair and makeup done, and feel beautiful! Pregnancy is a short season, but it is such a pivotal time and it changes everything. What a special moment in time to have captured to remember forever. And I must say, my beautiful friend Amanda makes it look effortless! I'm so glad she decided to capture this season of life as they are about to welcome another boy to their family.
Meet the Winegarners! They are every bit as incredible as they look. They live in my hometown, but we'd never met because I moved away just as they moved in. It was so fun making connections and realizing all the common friends we had (which of course is the nature of a small town, you know everybody and in my case I'm related to half of the town!) Due to my vacation schedule and the ridiculous amount of rainfall lately, we were afraid we would not be able to find a day with sunshine to have a maternity session. After closely watching the forecasts and trying to ensure this sweet couple didn't drive all the way here to get rained out, we squeezed in the session the night before I left town for vacation and we had the most glorious light! It was so worth the waiting and watching the forecast, especially because their sweet boy is already here and I will be photographing him next! These two were a dream to work with, and their love for each other and their baby is evident in person and in photographs. And I have to say, with only a slight amount of jealousy, that I've had two children and I never looked as gorgeous when pregnant as Brittany does! Be on the lookout in the next couple of weeks to see their sweet baby Brecken!
